Terms
Last updated September 23, 2026
These terms cover this website and the software Inkling Labs LLC publishes. Plain language on purpose; the meaning is what it says.
The website
You may browse and link to this site freely. The text, design, and brand assets belong to Inkling Labs LLC. Brand assets may be used to refer to us, following the guidance we publish with them, but not in a way that suggests endorsement.
Software
Open-source projects are governed by the license in their repository. That license, not this page, sets your rights to use, modify, and share the code.
Paid apps, and free apps that are not open source, are licensed, not sold. You get a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute it. For an open-source app such as Palilogy, its repository license governs instead, and it allows all three.
Trials and license keys. A paid app runs free for a trial period and then needs a license key. The app's page states the price, the length of the trial, and how many Macs one key activates. You can deactivate a Mac in the app to move your license to another one. The app checks its license from time to time, and the privacy page says exactly what that check sends.
Buying. Our apps are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which is the seller of record. It takes your payment, handles tax, and sends your receipt and license key. Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms apply to the payment itself. A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Nothing we publish is sold through the Mac App Store.
Refunds. Try the app during its trial before you buy. If you buy and it is not right, write to us within 30 days of purchase and we will make it right. Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy to the payment method you used.
No warranty
The site and software are provided as is. We work hard to make them reliable, but we make no promise that they are free of errors or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses that come from using them. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability for all claims is limited to what you paid for the app, and for free software it is nothing. Where the law does not allow this limitation, it applies to the fullest extent the law permits. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go through the contact form.
September 19, 2026: removed the Mac App Store wording, since nothing is sold there, and described trials, license keys, buying, and refunds through Lemon Squeezy.
September 23, 2026: open-source apps are governed by their repository license, the refund window is 30 days, liability is capped at what you paid for the app, and the rest of the terms stand if one part fails.
